Warrenton, VA. Titania announced today that it has successfully completed a re-appraisal of its Capability Maturity Model (CMMI) Level 3 for Development.

An appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a defined level which ensures processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, tools, and written procedures. Attaining CMMI-DEV Level 3 allows Titania to embrace institutionalized processes that provide consistency in Project Planning, Requirements Management, Measurements, and Quality outcomes. The successful integration of CMMI with Agile Scrum and SAFe methodologies at Titania ensures teams are successfully crossed trained, can identify and manage project risks, and can ensure Titania’s customers’ needs always come first.

A CMMI appraisal at Level 3 or higher is required by many federal agencies in the procurement strategy of their contracts, especially those which include software design and development. In addition to rating the maturity level of an organization’s processes, CMMI also demonstrates a level of assertion that the organization will be able to perform on schedule and within budget. Titania’s investment in CMMI demonstrates the value it places on effective processes, continuous improvement, performance, and delivery. One of Titania’s customers stated, “Titania’s excellent reputation is based upon proven quality in all aspects of their support.”  This is due in no small part to Titania’s adherence to the principles behind the use of CMMI processes and procedures in all they do for their customers.

Congratulations, Titania.
